Goal: To graphically explore STEM connections to a career path or topic within a career.

 

 

Procedure

We have covered a lot of territory this quarter. In this final exam you are going to show that you can apply STEM ideas to a topic in your career path.

Process

1. Select your topic.

2. Use your favorite concept mapping software to create a map using the starting place image.

3. Upload your concept map to your eFolio.

4. Send your URL to Dr. Newberry

 

Requirements

Your concept map must start with a topic of your choosing that is related in some way to your career path or field. You must show STEM related concepts or actions in the concept map. You must show connections (where appropriate) between your concepts in each of the STEM areas.

Evaluation

Your submission is worth up to 10 points based on the following:

10 points - Concept map starts with a relevant starting point, has excellent detail under each of the STEM topics, shows numerous appropriate relationships between STEM related topics.

9 points - Concept map starts with a relevant starting point, has adequate detail under each of the STEM topics, shows adequate appropriate relationships between STEM related topics.

8 points -  Concept map starts with a relevant starting point, has some detail under each of the STEM topics, shows some appropriate relationships between STEM related topics.
